University of Belgrade among 600 best universities in the world

The University of Belgrade was ranked between 501st and 600th on the 2021 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), popularly called the Shanghai list. The so-called Shanghai list ranks more than 1000 best universities in the world. The University of Novi Sad is the second-best university in the country, and it was put on the list between 901st and 1000th place.

Study in Serbia welcomed around 350 booth visitors during the Study in Europe Virtual Fair 2021 on 16th June. Participants wanted to learn more about available scholarship opportunities and study programmes in Medical Sciences, Economics and Business, and Engineering. There were many queries about Social Sciences programmes as well.

Call for Applications for CEEPUS Network Mobility is now open

The call for CEEPUS network mobility applications for the academic 2021-2022 year is now open. Students and academic staff from participating CEEPUS countries are welcome to apply for network mobility in Serbia. Moreover, foreign students and teaching staff who are currently studying and working at eligible higher education institutions in Serbia can also apply for network mobility abroad. Applications must be submitted online, via the central CEEPUS platform. The application deadline is June 15 for the winter semester and October 31 for the summer semester.

Incoming CEEPUS candidates can opt for blended mobility in the summer semester of 2020/2021

Because of COVID-19, incoming CEEPUS candidates can now opt for blended mobility in the summer semester of the academic 2020/2021. Blended mobility implies that part of mobility is done online, and the rest is conducted physically. Incoming CEEPUS students and teaching staff will receive financial support for the virtual portion of their mobility. More information on the topic is available on the website of the National CEEPUS Office in Serbia.

Serbian students won a silver medal at the 6th China International College Students’ "Internet+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition

The mixed team of students from the University of Novi Sad and the Chinese Shenzhen University won a silver medal at the 6th China International College Students’ "Internet+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. The contest was fierce; it gathered 6.3 million competitors from 117 countries. Students from over 4100 universities submitted around 1.47 million projects. The Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of Serbia will offer 200 "World in Serbia" scholarships to international candidates in the ongoing academic year. Candidates that come from the Non-Aligned Movement member and observer states are eligible to apply.

Calls for applications for CEEPUS network and freemover mobility are closing soon

Call for CEEPUS mobility application for the spring term is closing on October 31, 2020. Freemover applications can be submitted until November 30, 2020. International students and academic staff from the CEEPUS countries can spend a mobility period abroad in Serbia. Also, foreign students enrolled in public higher education institutions in Serbia are also eligible to apply for a CEEPUS network or freemover mobility abroad.
